Ninjago Fan Art Prints by Joshua Deck
Joshua Deck is an artist and animator whose fingerprints can be found throughout the world of Ninjago. His "Fugibuff" rendering of Fugi-Dove made its way onto the screen in the Seabound episode "Papergirl," and he went on to design a whole cast of characters for Crystalized—including versions of himself, Bragi Schut, Brayden Nelson, Hayley Wolfe, Tommy Andreasen, and one memorable Courthouse civilian.
His influence runs deeper than the credits suggest. His artwork helped inspire the series' 2D-animated episodes, and a single conversation with Tommy Andreasen, Co-creator of Ninjago, grew into a Clutch Powers storyline. Over the years, his YouTube live-streams became an unlikely clearinghouse for Ninjago lore, with Andreasen himself dropping revelations in the chat—from Zane's journey back in time to the title of an unannounced episode.
Deck's collaborations reach from the page to the toy shelf: he worked with Andreasen on a detailed, partially canon map of Ninjago, and his poster for the original pilot episodes was tucked into the Ninjago City Gardens set. LEGO interviewed him for the franchise's tenth anniversary, a milestone he also helped commemorate as one of four creators behind the fan documentary Ninjago – Ten Years of Spinjitzu.
