LEGO® World Racers lasted exactly one year. Released in June 2010 and gone by the end of it, the theme ran nine sets built around a single joke told very well: two racing teams, wildly mismatched, tearing across the world for a trophy on a reality show called LSTV. On one side the X-treme Daredevils — Dex-treme, Rex-treme, and Max-treme, extreme sports personified. On the other, the Backyard Blasters — Bubba, Bart, and Billy Bob, who brought dynamite. Their vehicles were armed, the courses ran through desert, swamp, reef, canyon, and arctic, and an orange-suited race official turned up to referee a contest with no rules. Unlike the Racers theme it's often confused with, World Racers actually had minifigures.
