This is a 2x4 Italian LEGO® Minitalia Brick in Collectible Packaging. The packaging was made by Atlanta Brick Co.

In the 1960’s, LEGO® Sets were much more popular in the cooler climates of Northern Europe than the warmer temperatures of Italy. Italy had a different economy which didn’t spend as much money on indoor toys. To increase sales, The LEGO® Group created Minitalia exclusively for the Italian market. To lower the cost of the bricks, LEGO® did not use the Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, ABS Plastic that they use on their normal bricks. Instead they used a more affordable plastic called High Impact Polystyrene, or HIPS. This is the same material the LEGO® baseplate is made of. Minitalia sets were produced in Denmark and cost approximately half the price of a normal LEGO® Set. Besides being made of a different plastic, Minitalia elements did not say LEGO® on them like traditional LEGO® elements. It is believed that LEGO® may have been using Minitalia as a test market for new elements and designs such as the opening door, two window models, arches, shutters and slope 33 elements which all got their start in Minitalia sets. Instead of the tube system found on the bottom of LEGO® Bricks, Minitalia had an X system. The X system had internal sidebars and thinner walls which LEGO® eventually used in their modern bricks. Since Minitilia elements do not say LEGO® on them, they have often been discarded as knock-offs and because of this and their limited production of 21 unique sets, they are considered rare and collectible!

Bricks are used and may show signs of playwear. Each brick is sold separately.

About our Parts

We have a lot minimum purchase of $1 on all parts, as well as a $5 minimum order total.

We sell new and used LEGO® parts. We only sell LEGO® parts in good condition unless otherwise noted. We are huge LEGO® fans and builders and we take great care in making sure our customers are getting what they expect when they are buying parts from us. If you are buying a part from us that is not titled as “New”, there is a chance that it is used, however, it will be in good condition. If you need new parts only and want to confirm you are getting only new parts, please send us a message or call us at 470-414-2208 and ask us to confirm. If we do have condition variants available for our parts, the descriptions for the condition variants are listed below:

Very Good – this condition variant may be new or used but either way it will be in very good, like new, collector’s quality condition. This is our default variant if a part is not otherwise noted.

Decent – this condition variant is in good condition but may show a sign of use such as slight marks or scratches.

Playtoy – this condition variant is functional but does not hold much collector’s value due to its condition. We do not sell parts that are in bad or gross condition.

Electronics will all be in working condition unless otherwise noted.

The customer service is exemplary (shout out to Joe W.) and the employees are all so nice. By far the best selection I've ever seen! Great YT channel as well. They buy for cash or store credit and also do trades. I've done several trades and they all went very smoothly! Thanks ABC!

What a great company! Not only do they make cool things (Mothman kit!), their customer service is top-notch. I mis-typed a delivery address resulting in my order being returned. As soon as I contacted Atlanta Brick Co, they told me how to get it re-sent and were extremely nice about it. Good people!

Absolutely love this shop!! Have been shopping here for awhile but just started getting more into it this past year with my son getting older :)
Everyone is super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable - plus their online presence making videos, selling products, and updating their social media daily is a great plus!!!
