Antique LEGO® Wooden Toys
LEGO® began making wooden toys in 1932 when it almost went bankrupt as a furniture maker during The Great Depression. Popular LEGO wooden toys were yo-yo's, pull toys and trains, however, LEGO just about every toy imaginable including cradles, rattles, toy guns and even an abacus.
After experiencing its third fire, LEGO ceased making wooden toys in 1960.
As the name implies (LEGO means Play Well in Danish) these wooden toys were played with very well and also passed down through generations since they were high quality. This makes them very hard to find in good condition.
